Salcedo Community Market - One of the Good Places to Discover Food

A Saturday of Food Lovin' at the Salcedo Community Market

We were undecided where to take our lunch before heading to a Repertory Musical last August 23, 2014.  The best solution... Salcedo Community Market.

On it's 10th year, this Market never ceases to amaze, amuse, and delight, not just the eyes, but the palate as well.  In here, each member of the family need not argue where to eat.  The choices are abundant and interesting.

So what did we have this day?

La Cuisine Francoise
We were surprised and happy to see Jean d' Orival here.  He and my husband used to be Coast Guard Volunteers.  Jean used to own a restaurant in Salcedo Village, and now, he operates a restaurant in the US Embassy (plus in 2 more locations).  We definitely tried his food fare.

French Ceviche -  Salmon Salad

Chicken Tapenade - Chicken Lasagna with Olive Paste

What does my daughter like?

Pork Siomai - My daughter's favorite comfort food

Cheers !!!

Drinking Standford x Shaw's Ginger Ale

Still want more...

I tried the Callos of Sabor de Espana.

Kale Chips by Take Root

Photo ops at the Take Root Stall

Here are some of what else we saw at the market....

There is no conceivable way of trying all the food there is in a day.  So it is best to keep coming here every Saturday if you want to take a bite of all that is in store at the Salcedo Community Market.
